Imagine being able to recycle and get a prize for it, this can encourage people who do not yet do so to recycle. RECYCLES is an Ecoembes project and which aims to encourage everyone who uses its application.
What is RECYCLES?
RECICLES is an initiative of TheCircularLab, Ecoembes's open innovation center, rewards environmental responsibility through a return and reward system (SDR). With this, the company wants to compensate all users who use it, which today are thousands of people in our country.
Every time you recycle plastic beverage cans and bottles to the yellow bin or at one of the RECYCLES machines in your city, you will receive RECYCLES. With the RECICLOS you can exchange participations in the draws, but you also have the possibility of donating them to social or environmental projects.
The more you recycle, the greater the participation, the RECYCLES they will be redeemable in the application, being available for Android and iOS. The page also allows you to see if RECICLOS is available in your city, to do this use the search engine located at the top, where it says "Is RECICLOS already in my city?".
How RECYCLES works
The way RECICLOS works is quite simple, the first and foremost thing will be to download the application, and then sign up for the service in less than a minute. It will ask you for a few details, so it will take you a short time to be already earning the aforementioned RECYCLES.
The steps to follow are the following: download the app, register in the application, scan barcodes on beverage cans and plastic bottles with the tool that you are going to recycle, deposit them in the yellow container, scan the QR code that you will find in it, accumulates RECYCLES (earn one for each plastic can or bottle you recycle) and exchange your RECYCLES for participation in raffles, or donate them to social and environmental projects.
Participating is easy you can get a maximum of 25 RECYCLES per week. The prizes are very varied, among them are a mobile phone, a scooter, a mountain backpack or even a bicycle.
Recycle in containers
The yellow containers where RECICLOS is active are ready so that you can participate in the project. They have technology incorporated in the QR that you can find in them. It is important to know if RECICLOS has arrived in your city, you can check it in your websites.
The application reads the bar codes of the cans and plastic bottles of drinks with which you can participate, each code is worth a RECICLOS.

How does it work
The SDR works through the free application RECICLOS with which to scan the barcode of the cans and plastic bottles of drinks. The points are redeemable for participation in draws for sustainable prizes or donated to social or environmental projects, you can get up to 25 RECYCLES a week.

- Scan the RECICLOS app from the Play Store or App Store
- Scan the barcode of the cans or plastic bottles of beverages that you are going to recycle
- Put them in a yellow container
- Scan the QR code that you will find on the container
- Earn points and redeem them for entries in draws for sustainable prizes or donate them to social or environmental projects.
You can also participate through RECYCLING machines, In this case, the machine directly scans the barcodes, you only have to scan the QR code that will appear on the screen, to add the RECYCLES generated.
What can be done with RECYCLES?
The first point is to take care of the environment, sustainable mobility is promoted to be able to participate in draws for public transport tickets or bicycles. The use of alternative means when going to a site is important, so you will always have to look for that alternative.
As a second point, caring for the community will allow you to support local or environmental projects, donations to NGOs, improve your neighborhood or help those who need it. If you want to do the latter you will to be able to donate each of the points, also called RECYCLES.
Neighbors from different cities help and collaborate to take care of green areas, tree planting, donation of medical supplies, among other things. You can support each of these causes with your neighborhood or your municipality, so can people close to you so that this is promoted.
