Be careful, a poor quality USB Type-C cable can end up with your smartphone

USB Type-C

It is not entirely new news, but it is regaining importance. It all started when a Google engineer said that the USB Type-C cable sold by OnePlus was not compatible with other mobiles with a USB Type-C connector, such as the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. But it is not only a question that you may have problems when charging your mobile. It is that now it turns out that a poor quality USB Type-C cable could even definitively end our smartphone.

Poor quality USB Type-C

Actually, we can't even say that this is something new. It has never been impossible for a USB cable to be able to destroy the motherboard of a computer or a smartphone. In fact, it was more common in the case of computers, and hence the importance of buying quality USB cables. Of course, over time even cheap cables worked perfectly. But we must bear in mind that nowadays USB Type-C cables have just been launched, so those cheaper ones could be of poor quality, have poor quality solders, and generate problems as serious as they literally end with the motherboard of our smartphone and, therefore, we are left with a useless mobile.

The big problem is that it is impossible to identify cables that are of poor quality and those that are of good quality. The only thing that so far is being done is reviewing USB Type-C cables to analyze which ones are of poor quality and which ones are of good quality. But summing up, we can say that the best thing to do so far is to use only the original USB Type-C cables that come with our smartphones and tablets or, failing that, the original ones marketed by the manufacturer of each of our mobiles. . Of course, this will mean having to pay more for these cables, since, for example, Google sells, they are more expensive than the third-party cables that had been launched so far. But it will be much more expensive to have to buy a new mobile because the USB Type-C cable that had cost us so little money, was indeed of poor quality and has managed to destroy the motherboard of our smartphone.
