In the first place I speak from ignorance since it is the first time that I do this on my mobile.

I have managed to root it and install the Gcam Pixel3, the truth is that it is very worth it, for different reasons, but it improves a lot the native camera of the MIA1.
The problem is that I have managed to do it while in version 8.0 of Oreo and when updating it to version 8.1 it has stopped working and I have seen that it was no longer root on the mobile, I suppose it has to do with the update.
Once rooted, are we supposed to have this problem? is there a way to not lose the OTA updates and stay rooted? Thanks
