Arrow Launcher, Microsoft's new development for Android (download)

New development of Microsoft Arrow Launcher

That Microsoft is working on offering solutions for all mobile operating systems (beyond Windows itself) is something very evident, since many of its developments are already available for, for example Android. Well, a new one has been known that the Redmond company is already testing: Arrow Launcher.

The truth is that this work, which has an aspect that is quite reminiscent of Aviate, surely gives a lot to talk about since there are many times that it has been speculated that Microsoft would not be far from launching on the market a product line that would use Google's operating system. And, Arrow Launcher, can be one of the steps in this regard. Obviously, we are not talking about abandoning Windows, but about launching a second product range as at the time Nokia made with the Lumia (If you can not with your enemy, ally with him).

Microsoft Arrow Launcher job appearance

At the moment, we are talking about an early trial version of the Launcher, which allows you to change the aspect of the user interface of the phone or tablet in which it is used (such as the basic icons of the operating system), and that has a structure well differentiated into three parts. In the upper one you can see the applications that have been used recently, in order to have quick access to them. The second central section is for the developments that are most used, and it is the largest. Finally, at the bottom, there are selected icons for quick access, which is already common.

Additional options

Here, for example, I would enter that the options at the bottom of Arrow Launcher can change simply by moving your finger across the screen, then the possibility appears as a list of recent contacts, the most used folders or more applications. Besides, the sliding the screen sideways allows access to more functions, such as the list of things to do (To Do).

Additional Arrow Launcher Options

Arrow Launcher's look is quite clean and attractive, with clear influences from Android M in some of its designs, such as in the "box" of applications. The thing is, the early trial version is already available and there are two ways to get it. The first is to try to register in the testing community and, on the second, get the download APK directly from this link and proceed to its manual installation.

What do you think of this development? Do you think Microsoft will finally decide to launch its own range of terminals with the Android operating system installed and with Arrow Launcher as user interface?
