Google has 'loaded' its app to save mobile data

Just a couple of years ago, the Mountain View company launched its application on the Google Play Store Datally. An app within the project 'Next Billion Users' and whose main function was to help users to save mobile data, but with different tools. Now, however, the app is no longer available in the Google Play Store because they have made the decision to remove it definitively.

En Android 10, Google has natively integrated the function 'data saving'. So obviously with this OS update it makes less sense for a specific application to remain available. The Mountain View company, as we were advancing, has decided withdraw Datally from the Google Play Store. However, it is still available to users who have previously downloaded it, and it continues to function normally for them. However, it specifies that it is not compatible with Android 10. Therefore, it is quite evident that the move by Google has to do with its latest operating system.

Datally is no longer in the Play Store, but we can continue saving data on Android

Application Datally it was basically a system of control of data use by applications, something that is already integrated into Google's mobile operating system. But also, it was a tool for block this use of data selectively for apps, another function that we already have in Android 10. And ultimately, the app allowed us search WiFi networks free near us, and valued by other users. This last section, which is the one that is perhaps most missed, was the one least used by mobile device users.

Therefore, it is not only a loss 'small', but we also have other functions to continue saving data on our smartphones. The Google Chrome basic modeFor example, it is a good feature to complement with the native data saving of Android 10. And of course, for those who want to have Datally, we can still download the application through third parties, although in the future it will stop working correctly and, as we mentioned, not compatible with Android 10.

The latest update of Datally, the Google app to reduce mobile data consumption, was launched almost a year ago and can be downloaded from the following link, in APK Mirror. This is where we have the APK of the application available.
