Google Home It is the Google application to broadcast on Chromecast or SmartTV. And now it allows you more facility for one of the most interesting and forgotten functions where its location was: Share screen.
It can be done for years cast o mirroring from your screen on your smart TV or with Chromecast. That is, reproduce exactly what you are seeing on your mobile phone screen on your television.
For this, Google Home has been used, the application that allows you to control the reproductions of your mobile phone to the Chromecast or Smart TV, either from YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, etc. Google Home allows you to move forward, backward, skip the song or video, go back to the previous one, or change the volume. And also do mirroring.
Google Home: Screen Sharing Shortcut
Until now to be able to access send screen we had to open our Google Home app, go to the section of Account and scroll down until we find the section of Project device. We pressed the SEND SCREEN / AUDIO button, we selected our Chromecast and we already had it.
What a problem there was with this. Easy, it was not very intuitive. That the option was in Account it didn't help you to think that the option was located there. Project device, although it is somewhat more explicit, you could not identify it with this name. So many times he was not quite understanding.
But Google has wanted to solve it and now it is much easier. Just opening our Google Home app will show the devices available to send. When pressing our television or Chromecast, a button will automatically appear at the bottom of the screen with the name cast my screen. When you click there, you will see an advertisement (in English) with the following message:
“Mirroring allows you to reproduce the screen and the audio of your mobile or tablet on your television or audio device. NOTE: This device is not optimized for playback, so your experience may vary.
Don't worry about that message, press cast screen and your screen will start playing on your TV.
As you can see, it is much easier and faster than it was before, and encourages you to do it and test this functionality. It is appreciated that Google takes great care in every detail so that the experience is better, since until this update it was quite improvable, but now it is much easier and simpler.
