Google has many apps and services at your disposal. Of course, more and more functionalities and new options are being added. And now in an app of their most famous apps have added a chat. But ... what app was left to have chat? Easy, Google Photos.
That is, Photos, the gallery and cloud of photos of the Big G receives a chat. Surely you have many doubts. Why? How useful is it? How does it work? Do not worry, we will tell you how it works, how we can use it. and when we can enjoy this new function of the popular app.
Google Photos chat
Although it seems that it may not be useful, that you will not use a chat in this app, being able to use others, the truth is that its implementation has been very correct, and it may be of interest to you.
The chat works specifically for sharing photos. When you press the share button when viewing a photo, at the bottom left of the screen, you can share it directly on Google Photos. In this way all your photos, even when you share them, are in the same application, especially if you use a phone with Android One or a Pixel.
Groups can be created with several people and you can share the photos directly in that group.
Google has stated that this chat has been created to facilitate the process of sharing a photo individually, since you could only create album links, and you had to create an album for a single photo in order to send the link. Now we can share it directly in the app itself.
Of course you can also share the photo on WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger and other applications, but if you do not want to change the app or prefer to have all the photos centralized, this option is of great help. Of course, if you want to send several photos, it is still more convenient to send an album with a link than to send them individually.
The chat does not have more functions than these, but Photos is not a messaging app, so having a chat is already more than you could expect. We look forward to seeing how this option will work. We may start to see it starting next week on our Android phones, although it will also be released for iOS from the beginning.
What do you think of this new implementation? Do you see it useful or something that will simply be forgotten? We see potential, to see how it works.
