But Google Photos has just been updated to integrate the technology OCR, of recognition of text. And it makes things a lot easier.
Technology OCR allows to recognize text on images. In this way the text can be extracted, or it can be used to 'categorize' them. This is how the Mountain View company has used it. With OCR the images are analyzed, to add 'metadata' of the same internally, and that in this way users have the option to search for images based on their content. If we have taken a photo of a STOP sign, for example, from now on we will be able to find it in our library using the search engine, and in a way as simple as it is by entering the text 'stop ' in the same.

If you have taken a photo of a book page, you can quickly share its text on social networks, for example. And if you have taken a photo of the router password, for example, you will also be able to quickly take that text, copy it and paste it wherever you want.

We just have to update Google Photos to the latest version available in the Google Play Store. From this, the search will work automatically and by default, while the copying text We will have to do it manually by opening the image, touching and using the button Google Lens which is a square with a point in the central area. By doing so, all the text in it will be highlighted and we will be able to touch the desired words and then the option to copy.
If you update the application and these options still do not appear, be patient because the Mountain View company is carrying out the deployment progressively. It should be a matter of just a few days, at the most, before the newly released feature reaches your device.
