Skype or Whatsapp It is one of the most popular video calling applications in the world, and it is with millions of users using the application. Only on Android it has an incredible amount of downloads in the Play Store, the Android store, so they have added a feature for this operating system that we have had in its desktop versions for years: share screen.
Screen sharing is a popular feature for certain users, but it was only available for desktop systems such as Windows or Mac OS.
And now we have finally reached Android, which is very useful in case we want to show what we have on the screen to our friends to teach them how to do things or share your experience, although if you want to teach how to use Android, you can recommend our Android Help tutorials , which will surely help you.
Screen sharing in Skype for Android
Last month Microsoft already included in the Windows Insider program, the ability to record your video calls to be able to share them. Now it comes with screen sharing for our mobile phone.
To share screen you will have to go to the options in the lower right part of the screen, and there we will have the option to record the screen by clicking on the button with the three dots (…) and clicking on record screen.
Because yes, you will be sharing with your colleagues but you will also be recording it, in this way you decide if you want to have that recording saved or simply delete it.
New designs in the app
Other new features have also been implemented such as redesigns to make the interface cleaner, and you only need to tap it to stop seeing all the interface information.
The truth is that we like what Skype for Android is doing, increasingly intuitive and functional, and for a long time it has incorporated the dark mode that is so requested now and that we are even seeing it in the presentations of the different operating systems, both for iOS as in the Android Q betas as far as mobile systems are concerned as for Windows and Mac OS, which has been incorporated by desktop systems for about a year.
There are more and more options of apps for video calls, from Discord, Google Duo, new interactive Houseparty app and even WhatsApp itself, so Skype has to fight to maintain the throne, and it seems that it is willing to do so.
And you? Do you use Skype or do you prefer another app? Leave it in comments!
