Download the app and the desktop version

By downloading DroidCam on your phone and connecting it to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer, it will be able to view your mobile camera and use it as if it were a wireless one. Well. Once you have both downloaded and connected to the same Wi-Fi network, we proceed to configure them.

Settings in the DroidCam app

On your mobile, as soon as you open the Droid Cam app, it will explain what you will need to configure it on your computer. It will tell you the website from which you can download the version of the app for your computer. It will remind you that both your mobile and your PC must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and it will indicate which data you must fill in on the computer. These data are the Droid Cam port and the Wi-Fi IP address. Don't worry, you won't have to look for anything, the application itself tells you what those numbers are. You only have to enter them in the computer.

Configuration in the desktop version

Once you know which one is your IP number of your Wi-Fi network and port, you must enter them in the computer. This sample image from the program itself shows how.

After completing these two pieces of information, you will be able to test the connection with the usual program that you use for video calls. If for example you are going to use Skype, you can select the camera that you are going to use from Tools - Options - Video Settings.
