1.- To stop seeing notifications (because you see them on the clock)
There are many occasions that we turn on the mobile screen to see if we have any notification, check it, or even respond to it. All these actions are possible from a watch with Android Wear. For example, if what you have received is an email, you will not only be able to see that you have received the email, but you will also be able to read it, and even respond to it by voice.

Use Bluetooth headphones or wired headphones, you will find that having to take out your smartphone to change songs is not practical. And more if you want to change the song when you are cycling or running. I love the ability to switch songs from my Android Wear smartwatch.
