Yes, you read that correctly, 11K. An 11K screen. We are not talking about the 4K that today is a standard resolution, nor the 5K of the iMac screen. We are talking about 11K. And it is nothing more and nothing less than a mobile screen, which makes the feat much more complicated. This screen could arrive in the year 2018.
11K, ultra high resolution
In general, when we talk about a 2K screen or a 4K screen, we are talking about some of the data on that screen reaching 2.000 pixels or 4.000 pixels, respectively. In the case of 2K screens, or Quad HD, they are 2.560 x 1.440 pixels, while 4K screens would be 4.096 x 2.160 pixels. However, we are talking about 11K, which means that the horizontal of the screen will be at least 11.000 pixels.
