There is not much left for the new range Motorola G4 (already under the Lenovo umbrella) is a reality, since everything points to the 17th of this month of May as the date chosen by the company to make it official. Well, several of the characteristics of this terminal have been confirmed because it has passed through the US certification body.
We are talking about the FCC, a place where the different products that you want to put on sale in the US have to "be shown" so that they get the necessary stamps to achieve this. The case is that in this entity the models have been seen XT1622 and XT1642 (which fit perfectly as far as nomenclature is concerned since the previous generation terminal is the XT1540). This, on the one hand, shows that the arrival of the new models oriented to the mid-range is very close to being a reality. And, secondly, that there are two that will be put into play: the Motorola Moto G4 and, also, the Motorola Moto G4 Plus.
Various data of the Motorola Moto G4
The truth is that this is something that may surprise. But almost all the information that has been known in the FCC entity corresponds to the Motorola Moto G4, a model that is the one that replaces the current terminal on the market. Of the second variant of this new product range, there is hardly any data, but surely these will be made public before the presentation of the 17th.
An example of what has been known is that the dimensions of the Motorola Moto G4, which will have a 5,5-inch screen with Full HD quality, will be 153 x 76,6 mm (without the thickness being published). In this way, we are talking about a model that is quite contained in its appearance despite the fact that it has grown. Now it remains to be seen if the IPx7 protection against water and dust is maintained, which would be a success since otherwise we are talking about a step backwards that many users would not understand.
As could be seen in a previous leak, the main hardware that will have the Motorola G4 will be a processor Snapdragon 617, assuming this a very important and necessary leap with respect to the previous range; it will integrate 3 GB of RAM to move Android Marshmallow with ease; and, additionally, the terminal will have a 13 megapixel main camera while the front one stays at 5 Mpx. It does not look bad, although there are details to be confirmed, such as the charge of its battery or storage, but all this will be revealed next week.
