Dual-boot tablets (Windows + Android), new for 2014

Windows-Android

It is difficult to innovate much more in the world of smartphones, where so many companies compete to be the best seller in the market. However, the same does not happen with tablets, which seems to have a market with many possibilities. 2014 could be a key year, in which dual-boot tablets will be launched, that is, they have Android and Windows at the same time.

This afternoon we talked about computers with Chrome OS and how they could take a share of the market share thanks to the fact that today many users no longer need a high-quality computer, as they spend more time using their tablet. Computers were in the background, and a Chrome OS computer might be enough. However, the truth is that the true future could be a different one, one that arrived in 2014, and they are dual-boot tablets, that is, those tablets that have both Windows and Android on the same system, and that allow us to start with one or the other depending on the applications we want to use.

Companies like Asus seem to have a tablet ready that would be presented at the beginning of next January, and also at the beginning of next year, at CES 2014. However, it is most likely that it is not the only company that opts for this type of tablets, as it could also be followed by others such as Lenovo, which manufactures tablets with Windows and tablets with Android, or even later Samsung, which would be interested in maintaining a good relationship with Microsoft, something that it would achieve with a dual tablet.

These tablets would allow starting the operating system that the user chooses at any time, being able to use applications developed specifically for the Mountain View operating system, and native Windows programs. It could become normal next year 2014, and of course, it could mean a permanent paradigm shift in the world of tablets.
