An LG terminal with Snapdragon 810 appears on GeekBench. Will it be the LG Flex 2?

The official pages of the benchmarks, where the results obtained by the different terminals that pass them are published, have become a most valuable source of information today. And, an example of this is that in GeekBench's own it has appeared a LG model that integrates a Snapdragon 810 processor from Qualcomm.

The specific model that appears on the web is the LG-F510L which, due to the SoC that we have previously indicated, will be part of the high-end product range. In this way, it could be the expected LG G Flex 2 -which this afternoon at CES it would become official- or, failing that, the G4. The fact is that the cited nomenclature does not clearly correspond to an evolution of the models that this company currently has on the market, so both possibilities are feasible.

Snapdragon 810, the choice for the high-end

This processor is the one that many high-end terminals will use in 2015. And the reasons for this to be the case is that the manufacturing technology used is 20 nanometers (the same as the Nvidia Tegra X1 announced today), the inclusion of eight cores inside compatible with 64-bit architecture and, in addition, its integrated graphics is a high-capacity Adreno 430 -30% more powerful than the 420-.

With Android Lollipop

Well, yes, one of the details that draws attention from those indicated is that the operating system that has been used when performing the test is Android 5.0.1, so LG will already have the corresponding update completed and the model we are talking about would include it at the same time it goes on sale. This, perhaps, suggests that this model is more likely to be the G4 -which is expected for the Mobile World Congress in March- rather than the Flex 2.

The fact is that in the presentation this afternoon it is possible that the LG Flex 2 And, therefore, there is no doubt as to whether it is this model that has passed the GeekBench test and that includes a Snapdragon 810 processor, 2 GB of RAM and the Android 5.0.1 operating system.
