Google has announced the closure of YouTube Gaming. The application, which could be accessed independently from its launch, is now integrated into both the website and the main YouTube app.

The official YouTube blog has informed the general public of the YouTube Gaming shutdown. Both the independent web page and the independent app become integrated into the general services, in a search to attract more public. From here, it is simply to investigate this new space. From the official note they highlight the possibility of subscribing to games to keep up to date with their content, or see live broadcasts like on Twitch. A category that is currently exclusive to the United States is on the rise, a way to highlight new youtubers who deserve more attention. This is accomplished using an algorithm and hand pick, so they can't implement it globally yet. You will also see in this category videos of the channels to which you are already subscribed with a video game theme.
