Several novelties have just been known about Alcatel OneTouch in the framework of the IFA 2015 fair that is being held in Berlin. These are three phones with Android operating system and, in addition, a smart watch that is aimed at users who like accessories of this type that can be considered as sports.
Let's start at the end, which always seems more likeable. The new smartwatch is called Alcatel One Touch Go Watch And when it comes to design, it has an air of Casio's traditional G-Shock range. As with the previous smartwatch from the company this comes with a proprietary operating system and, therefore, inside you should not expect to find Android Wear.
Your screen is 1,22 inches with 240 x 240 resolution. The processor is a Cortex M4 component that works at 180 MHZ and inside the Alcatel OneTouch Go Watch a 225 mAh battery is included - which according to the manufacturer is capable of offering an autonomy of up to two days of use. By the way, it includes compatibility with the IP67 standard, so it has protection against water and dust. Regarding its functionality, this is the usual one since it allows managing messages and calls (the inclusion of the application is striking GoPro that allows in control of this type of cameras). It is compatible with phones with iOS 7 and later, and also Android 4.3 or later.
A very resistant phone
Apart from the new watch, there is also a phone that comes from the hand of this company and that has one of its best characteristics in the resistance. The model name is Alcatel OneTouch Go Play and it is a model that offers compatibility with the standard IP67, making it the first of this company to be resistant to water and dust.
The finish of the new device is plastic and can be obtained in different colors (the back cover trim is attractive, in my opinion). This is a resistant model with striking lines that includes a processor inside 410 a 1,2 GHz Snapdragon and it offers a 1GB RAM amount. That is to say, a mid-range without a doubt.
Besides, the screen of the Alcatel OneTouch Go Play is 5 inches with HD quality; it has 8 GB of internal storage expandable through the use of microSD cards; 8 megapixel main camera and 5 megapixel secondary camera; and the built-in battery is 2.500 mAh. Regarding the operating system, the one used by this terminal is Android Lollipop.
Alcatel OneTouch POP UP and POP STAR
These are two new phones, but they do not offer the resistance against water and dust that this one has. They are mid / high-end models, one and the other “pure” medium, and they come as a complete solution that surely more than one will find it a possibility to consider.
The Alcatel OneTouch POP UP is a 5-inch model with full HD that uses a processor inside 610 a 1,4 GHz Snapdragon and that it has 2 GB of RAM. Additionally, this model has a 13 megapixel main camera and the secondary one stays at 5 Mpx.
It is a model that offers 16 "gigs" of internal storage (expandable), with a 2.000 mAh battery -which will have to be seen if it is capable of supplying enough power so that the autonomy does not clash-. The operating system is Android Lollipop, and the finish of its case is metallic (with 3D details on the back), which makes it attractive. Its colors are as follows: black, blue, orange and white, red.
The last known telephone of the company is the Alcatel OneTouch POP STAR. This one also has a 5-inch screen with HD quality, and the amount of RAM is 1 GB. Therefore, we are talking about a model that does not seek great performance. The processor is different depending on the connectivity used by the terminal, since there are 3G and 4G models. The former integrates a 6580 GHz MediaTek MT1,3, while the one that supports LTE networks offers a 6735 GHz MediaTek MT1P (and it is Dual SIM).
Other features of this model are expandable 8GB storage; 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera; 2.000 mAh battery; and Android Lollipop operating system. A striking detail of this product is that it is possible to choose between 20 different designs in the design section, such as one that is made of wood, another made of leather and even the one that looks like “Texan” clothing. That is, what the OnePlus One tried.
