All the features of the new HTC Bolt with Android 7.0

After learning about the new Moto M this week and waiting for the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro to be officially presented, HTC has made its new official HTC Bolt. It is an exclusive terminal of the North American territory for the moment and that becomes one of the first smartphones to reach the market with Android 7.1, beyond Google's own devices.

It finally looks like the latest high-end phone from HTC It is exclusive to Sprint, the well-known American operator, and has an interesting combination of specifications, including a 5,5-inch screen, a metallic design and the already rumored presence of the latest version of Google's operating system for mobile terminals.

Design and display

The base design of the terminal uses metal to form lines that reminds, how could it be otherwise, the current flagship of the company, the HTC 10. Within this design we find a fingerprint sensor housed on the button. startup and the presence of the USB Type-C connector where the headphones would be connected.

It also features IP57 water resistance, along with the now famous BoomSound speakers.

As we have already said, the terminal boasts a 3-inch Super LCD 5,5 screen with QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. These characteristics end up resulting in a density of 534 dpi.

Power and performance

The company has decided to work with Qualcomm again to promote this new HTC Bolt that has the performance more than assured thanks to the presence of the following components.

  • CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Quad Core 2.3 GHz
  • GPU: Adreno 430
  • RAM: 3 GB
  • Memoria interna: 32 GB with possibility of expansion through MicroSD cards of up to 256 GB

It highlights the presence of components perhaps somewhat outdated at the end of 2016 such as the previous generation Qualcomm processor or this amount of RAM.

At least the smartphone reaches the market with the latest version of Android available on the market, thus allowing the first buyers to enjoy new features such as the multiscreen that Android 7.0 brings to the mobile phone catalog.

Multimedia

The HTC Bolt comes with a pair of BoomSound Adaptive Audio headphones from HTC that have a built-in microphone capable of checking for ambient noise to deliver higher quality audio. As we've already said, the HTC Bolt lacks a 3,5mm headphone jack just like the iPhone 7, so the supplied headphones plug directly into the phone's USB-C port.

The 3,5mm jack adapter is not included in the box but HTC has agreed to ship this adapter to customers should they need it.

The camera included in the equipment mounts a 16 mpx sensor on its back and the front reaches 8 mpx, all with a 3.200 mAh battery with fast charge

Price and Availability

At the moment the HTC Bolt It is only available for purchase through Sprint, so we do not have data on the international marketing of the device beyond US borders. The price of the new HTC mobile is set at $ 599, perhaps somewhat high for a team where most of the components we find belong to 2015.
