Android Marshmallow will allow you to translate text directly on your devices

A new functionality, unknown until now, has been discovered in the operating system Android Marshmallow. This has to do with an aid when translating texts directly, and will make users manage to do this in a really simple way since the new option is integrated into the operating system itself with the help of an application of the Mountain View's own company.

Specifically, what I am talking about is the inclusion of direct translations in Android Marshmallow, where the complete process can be carried out simply by selecting the desired text (as long as it is editable, of course). Using the usual contextual menu that appears when you press continuously on the phone or tablet screen, one of the options that is part of the game is to translate the text in question.

Direct translation in Android Marshmallow

This does not mean that a translator has been developed in the operating system itself, as it is not. What is used is the application Google Translate, which in its version 4.3 already includes everything necessary for the integration of this development in the operating system to be much stronger, as I have mentioned -and this happens by offering the commented option in the contextual menus-. In this way, translating a specific text is much faster and, at the same time, intuitive. A great addition in my opinion.

It is already functional

Well yes, this is one of the pleasant surprises of what I am commenting on, since it is already possible to install the specific version of Google Translate 4.3 (links: architecture ARM y x86). If you have the Android Marshmallow version of the operating system, the last test for Google Nexus is currently starting -here you can get the corresponding firmware-, it is checked that the functionality se can be used without problems.

Direct translation options in Android maarshmallow

The options already available allow from choosing source languages to replacing selected text with translation, so it offers more than enough power to be a very interesting option (and surely it will improve over time). The fact is that this new translation functionality is very good news, and shows what it will be possible to achieve with Android Marshmallow, including application combination.
