Android Wear 2.0 is now official, and Google and LG watches too

Android Wear 2.0 LG

Android Wear 2.0 has definitely been presented as the new version of Google's operating system for smart watches. It does not arrive alone, because the company has also presented, together with LG, two new smartwatches, which will arrive this month. This is all you need to know about Android Wear 2.0 and the new watches.

Android Wear 2.0

Android Wear 2.0 It comes with some main novelties that stand out from all the others. One of them is quite interesting, which is the possibility of responding quickly to the messages we receive from WhatsApp, Hangouts, Facebook Messenger, etc. When we receive a notification, we can respond directly with voice typing, drawing the letters, using an emoji, typing on a keyboard, or even through intelligent responses that are automatically formed based on the message received.

Android Wear 2.0 LG

It is not the only novelty of Android Wear 2.0, which now has its own application store, independent from that of smartphones, and which can be used easily, especially if our smartwatch has its own Internet connection. By the way, we are now also given the possibility to add shortcuts to applications to our Always On watchface. It is something like the widgets on our Android mobile, but on smart watches.

LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style

Google will not launch its own watches, but it has introduced LG watches at the same time as its new version of the operating system. It is about the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style.

El LG Watch Sport It is the most advanced smartwatch to date released with Android Wear. The watch integrates both GPS to monitor our routes when going for a run or cycling, and NFC to make payments. It also includes a heart rate monitor, and mobile connectivity. Although we will have to wait if it will also be available in Spain. This watch includes three buttons, the main one being a rotary button with which we can move through the menus easily. It will be available in dark blue and titanium colors. In addition to this, it includes a circular 1,38-inch P-OLED display, a 430 mAh battery, a 768 MB internal memory and a 4 GB RAM, as well as the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear processor.

El LG Watch Style it will not have as much technology. It's smaller, with a 1,2-inch P-OLED screen. Its battery is 240 mAh. It also has an internal memory of 4 GB and a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear processor, although the RAM memory drops to 512 MB. GPS, NFC, mobile connection and heart rate monitor are dispensed with. The three buttons are also dispensed with, and only one is left, which is rotary, yes. And it comes in silver, rose gold and titanium colors. Cheaper, thinner, and smaller.

The clocks will be on sale on February 10, still without official prices for Spain. And the update to Android Wear 2.0 for smartwatches that will update will arrive from February 14.
