The current ones flagship from OnePlus, the beloved Chinese brand, the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T receive a beta with some interesting improvements, we tell you what they are about.
As you may already know (and if not, we will tell you about it), OnePlus uses a customization layer very similar to Android Stock, OxygenOS, and it has always stood out for having a good update policy. That is why it has a beta program for those more adventurous users.
Well now right in the final stretch of January, The new beta has arrived with interesting news. We tell you about them below:
News from the Open Beta
The Open Beta 12 for the OnePlus 6, and the Open Beta 4 for the OnePlus 6T include these new features:
- Added the OnePlus Laboratory (Only on OnePlus 6)
- Improvements in gaming mode.
- Optimizations for the screenshots
- Support for quick response from notifications when we use the phone in landscape mode, now it is easier to reply to messages while playing games or watching videos.
- World time support with weather information.

The truth is that they are a good amount of improvements for this new beta. The inclusion of OnePlus Laboratory stands out, which the OnePlus 6T already included natively. OnePlus Laboratory is an app to modify certain things of the system to your liking, that OnePlus users were very fond of it before it disappeared in the OnePlus 5 with its entry into Oreo, and it seems that it returns in its superior models, hopefully to stay.
Other notable improvements would be the inclusion of be able to answer messages from notifications while using the phone horizontally. Very comfortable in case we are playing (without gaming mode) or watching videos. In this way we can lower the notification bar and answer from there as we have always done with the mobile vertically.
Also the option of be able to see the time together with the world time, is a feature that has gone unnoticed by users, but if you are a traveler it can be very useful to be able to consult the time and hour of the place where you are going to go at all times.
