Carbon, backup the data of your apps without being Root

Carbon

Many of the users are afraid to root their device. Although it is a simple process and that allows us to access many useful functions of our device, the truth is that it can also have bad consequences if it is done incorrectly. However, certain features that were previously limited to rooted users are now accessible to everyone. The backup of the data of the apps is one of them, and all thanks to Carbon.

The developer of Carbon has found a way to back up application data using a Windows PC as a secondary tool. Of course, if we are Root we can also opt for the backup of a lifetime, without the need for a computer. You already know that when you lose everything you have on your mobile because you reinstall a new ROM, because you have to reset it, or simply decide to change for another mobile, you lose all the data in the applications. This means, for example, that after having progressed so much in Angry Birds, we can suddenly lose everything. The same happens with our precious notes, for example, or with any other application that we use a lot and in which we have already saved or created a lot of data.

Carbon

Well, now we can extract this data, making a backup copy, to restore it later. If we are not Root, Carbon is ideal, since it allows us to carry out this process that was previously impossible, although first we will have to install and run the desktop version for Windows. Once this is done, we install the application Carbon for the Android mobile and we follow the steps that the computer tells us on the screen.

If we are Root, one of the most remarkable things about Carbon is that it allows us to create a backup in the Cloud. Not that it is the only one, but it is interesting. For now, only Google Drive, Dropbox and Box are the supported services.

CarbonIn addition, it allows you to automatically restore the data that we copied before. In this way we can recover things quickly, reinstalling the applications, and restoring the data again, all through an application, without having to complicate ourselves with copies from one folder to another.

Carbon is currently free, while in beta. On January 30 it will go to Google Play, and it will give us a free trial month. After that it will be paid.
