The Motorola Moto G 2015 is going to be, once again, the king of the mid-range. Thus, it will also be one of the most purchased mobiles by users, and for many it will be the first smartphone they have. What are the first steps to follow with the Motorola Moto G 2015?
1.- Install the cards and put the case
Of course, inserting the SIM card will be the first thing you will have to do with your Motorola Moto G 2015, as that is what will allow you to use it as a phone, by having access to the mobile network that your operator gives you. At the same time, next to it you have the possibility of also inserting a microSD card with which to expand the memory of the smartphone. However, you must remember that the Motorola Moto G 2015 is waterproof, and that to prevent water from entering and damaging the card or the contacts of the SIM chip reader or the microSD memory, you must properly close the back cover. It is important, above all, that you press on the area of the housing around the camera, which is responsible for isolating the area of the card.
2.- Choose the language and log in to your Google account
Now is the time to turn on the Motorola Moto G 2015, and since it is a smartphone that comes from the factory, you will have to go through the initial setup process. You can avoid it and skip it if you don't want to do it, but we recommend that you follow it step by step. The first thing you will have to do is select the language you want the smartphone to have, which will be Spanish, from Spain, and then you will have to log in to your Google account. This is very relevant because it is essential to have access, for example, to the Google Play application store. If you don't have a Google account, you'd better create one.
Just a detail, after this step it will ask you if you want to make a backup of your applications and settings. If you confirm, and before you had an Android mobile with this option activated, it will try to copy all the apps from the previous mobile. If you want to avoid this, for example, because you don't want the memory to fill up with all the apps from before, deactivate this option. If you just want everything to be backed up, then leave this option enabled. However, we recommend that you install the apps from scratch, and therefore, that you deactivate this option. You will avoid problems with your mobile, and it will work better from the beginning.
3.- Moto Migrate
One of the characteristics of Motorola smartphones is that they come with the Moto Migrate application, which allows us to migrate from any other phone to a Motorola mobile with Android. If you previously had an Android smartphone, you can copy photos, videos, and even messages from your old mobile with this application. If you had an iPhone, you will be able to copy your contacts and your calendars. And if you had a normal mobile, Moto Migrate will still allow you to migrate your contacts. Just launch the app and follow the instructions.
4.- Update the apps
You just bought a 2015 Motorola Moto G which, in theory, should have the latest software. But the truth is that nowadays applications are updated almost every day. And you may, for example, have to update Google Services so that Google Play, Gmail, or other Google functions, can be activated and function correctly. Thus, go to Google Play, click on the button in the upper left corner of three bars, to access the list of options, and select My Applications. Here you will see all the ones that can still be updated.
5.- Install the basic apps
If you haven't made a copy of the apps you had on your mobile before, then it's time to start installing all the basic apps. WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Messenger or Google Maps. Now is when you should install these applications. In fact, we recommend that you do not let the mobile automatically copy the applications from your previous smartphone, something that we explained to you in step 2. This way you will get a cleaner configuration.
