Smart watches are receiving new technical features even after being launched. We already saw how watches with Android Wear started to have WiFi, and now some of them also have loudspeakers. Specifically, Google has already confirmed that both the Huawei Watch and the Asus ZenWatch 2 have a speaker, which could become compatible with Android Wear in a future version of the operating system that would arrive very soon.
Only the Huawei Watch and the Asus ZenWatch 2
Android Wear smartwatches went from no WiFi to WiFi with an operating system update. Logically, these watches already had a WiFi modem as hardware, but the software was not yet compatible with it. The same thing happens now with the Huawei Watch and the Asus ZenWatch 2 (in its 49-millimeter version). The two smartwatches, both with Android Wear, were launched, theoretically, without a speaker, although they do have one integrated. Now Google has officially confirmed that these two have loudspeakers. And apparently, right now it is only these two smartwatches that have said speaker, which meant that neither the new Motorola Moto 360 nor the LG Watch Urbane 2 have a built-in speaker.
New version of Android Wear
In turn, the fact that it is Google that confirms that these two smartwatches have a loudspeaker through the product pages of each of these smartwatches means that the new version of the operating system will be launched very soon for smart watches, the new version of Android Wear, which will already be compatible with these speakers. Its use will be similar to that of any smartphone, in order to have alarms and audio notifications, and even so that the watch is able to read the messages we receive. Logically, it will also be useful to make calls from the smart watch, not only being able to speak to the watch, but also listen to what they tell us.
However, it has not been confirmed when the new version of Android Wear will be released, although considering that Google has already included the speaker feature in both the Huawei Watch and the Asus ZenWatch 2, it is very likely that it will be very soon when This new version of the operating system is launched that becomes compatible with the speaker that these two clocks integrate.
