Google has presented its last two models fresh out of the oven to compete within the Android landscape. They come with the very latest in hardware, a frameless design for its largest version, and one of the best if not the best camera. All of this is accompanied by new software adapted to these smartphones and today we tell you the most relevant characteristics from the Google Pixel 2 launcher and how to install it using a simple APK file.
Very interesting features and a minimalist aesthetic for the Google Pixel 2 launcher
According to the original source of XDA you will only need a device with a version higher than Android Lollipop, although it has not yet been tested on such old terminals, and little else to tell the truth. We stand before a typical Google aesthetic with a spirit stock -so to call it- as you can see in these screenshots that I show you below.
The only but that we can get it out is that Google Now panel will not workUnless you install the Google Pixel 2 launcher on a Google terminal, be it a Nexus or a Pixel, something that from my point of view doesn't make much sense. This is so and because the launcher must be installed as a system app so that the Google Now panel detects us correctly and we can use it as such.
Has very neat and smooth animations, as you can see in the video below, and a very striking aesthetic and pleasing to the eye from my point of view, although it is something quite subjective.
