Google will launch a service for remote access to Android terminals

Google Android terminal location

The company Google is working on its own remote access service to terminals that use the Android operating system in order to locate the device. In addition, its content may also be deleted in case of loss or theft. In this way, security increases very clearly from the hands of Mountain View.

Therefore, users who have a phone or tablet with the Android operating system will no longer have to resort to third-party products, such as antivirus, to  protect your information in case your terminal falls into the wrong hands or, simply, they do not know where they have left it. In addition, this "equalizes" the service already offered by other companies, such as Apple.

The announcement has been made by Google itself and, as reported, will be end of this month when put into operation. It has even been indicated that the ringtone can be activated on the device to be able to locate it and thus use it as a warning. Regarding its operation, one of the few things that are known is that the user interface will be via the web.

New Google service for Android device location

Wide compatibility

This service is expected to be free and in addition, compatibility is established with the version Android 2.2 or higher, so it is very broad and there are many users who will be able to use this new tool. From what has been known, the location will be made by means of a map, which is not something really new, and deleting it will not have any complications. By the way, the alert call will always be at maximum volume, which is suitable in case of problems. Enough options, but somewhat scarce that will have to be seen if over time they are expanded from Google.

The truth is that the arrival of this service to the offer of Android terminals, without having to resort to third-party servicesIt is good news and shows that security is an aspect that Mountain View wants to improve. Good news, therefore, and a step forward from Google.
