Google will refund the price difference for the purchase of a Nexus 7

Google announced the launch of new devices on the first day of this week. Monday, October 29, was the day that the Mountain View company was going to officially present its new tablets and smartphone at the New York event. Hurricane Sandy prevented this from being possible, but could not stop the officialization of the devices, which did come to light. One of the novelties is that Nexus 7 that are still on the market have been downgraded. Well, the American company will refund the difference to buyers.

Of course, we do not want you to get too illusions, so from the beginning we tell you that it only affects those who bought the tablet 15 days before it saw its reduced price. And it is that there is a clause of those of Mountain View in which it is established and they undertake that they will reimburse the buyers of a Google device sold in the Play Store whose price has been lowered during the 15 days after the sale of the same.

In this case, this includes all 7GB Nexus 16 to be purchased from October 14. This device has been lowered to 199 euros, so it is especially attractive that they can receive a refund of the part corresponding to the difference between the price they paid and the price that the tablet has on Google Play right now.

These Google conditions can be reviewed in its help section where it talks about what to do in case of «Device price adjustment on Google Play«. In one of the links on that page you can find the place to claim the difference from the company. Of course, hurry up if you plan to do it, because you can only do it during the next 15 days after it is lowered.
