The company HTC It is exploring different options to improve its position in the market. One of them is to launch mid-range and entry-level models that compete with those that are performing so well. Another possibility would be wearable devices, something that could be seen at the Mobile World Congress.

According to various sources, at the fair to be held next week in Barcelona, up to three of these devices would be from the game: two smartwatches and the third could be a bracelet which among other things would offer the possibility of playing music. But it is the first that we have indicated that can attract the most attention.

One of these smart watches that turns out would be based on the Qualcomm Toq (not to say that it is exact, but its components could well be almost identical). That is, it would not be an absolute novelty and the truth is that HTC would bet on insurance since it is something functional that makes sense as a first experience. But it would be in the second in which a most interesting novelty would be found: this would be compatible with Google Now, something that no smartwatch offers to date (although there have been rumors about it). Of course, it is not known to what extent the integration of this Mountain View service would occur.

Samsung and HTC, the face and the cross of the third quarter of the year

According to Bloomberg, the development of this device would be quite advanced, so something could be seen in the Mobile World Congress, although not a definitive version of these wearable devices. Of course, according to the same medium in just a few months the mass production of these would begin and, therefore, HTC would become a new player in the market for this type of product.

The fact is that it seems quite clear that HTC is moving to improve its presence and diversify its product range. An example of this is that, as we have already indicated, this year 2014 it will focus on the mid-range of the product (without forgetting the high one) and, in addition, different information suggests that the Taiwanese company could be chosen to manufacture un new Nexus by Google.
