iOS 11 and Android O arrive with little news. In fact, they hardly come with news. And in the case of iOS 11, it can be said that it does not come with any news, all Android phones already had these news.
Siri and Google Assistant

Apple Pay and Android Pay
Apple has announced that Apple Pay will now also be a platform for making payments between friends. The logical thing is that all mobile payment platforms integrate this possibility. However, the truth is that the really useful thing would be that we could really pay with our mobile phone. Because in the end, Apple Pay is available in Spain only with a few banks. And Android Pay has not even reached Spain yet. It could arrive before the end of 2017. In fact, it is confirmed that this will happen, but probably only with some banks. In the end, this makes it really complex for them to become really useful platforms for making mobile payments.
Camera improvements
iOS 11 also comes with improvements for the iPhone 7 camera. For example, improvements in optical image stabilization, and also improvements in the codec used for videos, which would offer videos of the same quality, but weigh less. Actually, these news are not very relevant with respect to Android O. Android and iOS are different operating systems. Obviously, the management of the camera and the camera software also makes up the operating system, but in the case of Android phones, it is the manufacturer that takes care of the software for the camera.
New Control Center in iOS 11 vs Quick Settings
But without a doubt the novelty that is not new is the Control Center in iOS 11. In Android, we call it the Quick Settings panel. Apple has been launching small novelties in iOS so that the control center would have more functions. You could activate the WiFi, Bluetooth, or modify the brightness level of the screen. Now it is possible to configure the quick settings that we want. For example, instead of having the fast setting of Airplane Mode, we can have the WiFi Modem to share the Internet connection with our computer.
Without a doubt, it is a novelty that was missing from iOS 11. But the truth is that it is a feature that has been in Android for quite some time. Not only was it a function that came natively integrated into Android, but manufacturers included it in the customization of their smartphones from before, and something similar could already be achieved with applications with which we could add a quick settings panel.
iOS 11 has not come with any real news. And taking into account that there are Android smartphones with better technical characteristics, such as the Samsung Galaxy S8, Apple will have to launch an iPhone 8 of the highest level if it really wants it to have technical characteristics similar to those of the flagships of high-end with Android.
