Lenovo S650 and A859, the two new mid-range models

Lenovo S650

Lenovo has prepared a whole collection of new smartphones to launch this year 2014, with which it intends to start winning customers in the world of smartphones. In addition to the Lenovo S930 that we have talked about, they are also going to launch two more that until now we did not know, two mid-range smartphones, and with very cheap prices, the Lenovo S650 y Lenovo A859.

The Lenovo S650 is in the same vein as the S930 when it comes to technical specifications. The processor it has is practically the same, a quad-core MediaTek, with Cortex-A7 architecture, and with a clock frequency of 1,3 GHz. The RAM memory of this smartphone is 1 GB, and it has a capacity 8 GB internal memory, which can be expanded by means of a microSD card. The camera has no differences either, with an eight megapixel sensor. Where we do find variants is on the screen, which is of the qHD type, with a resolution of 960 by 540 pixels. However, for a smaller 4,7-inch screen, the pixel density is similar, which is what ultimately counts. For its part, the battery is 2.000 mAh. Its official price is 229 dollars, which would be about 170 euros at the current exchange rate. A normal price that resembles that of the Motorola Moto G, although there are some differences between these two.

The other new smartphone is the Lenovo A859, and the most curious thing is that, being the cheapest, and supposedly the worst, it has better technical characteristics than the previous one. It equates in processor, RAM, internal memory and camera, to the Lenovo S650. But it is that, in addition, its battery is larger, 2.250 mAh. Its screen is also slightly larger, at five inches, and the screen resolution is higher, being high definition, 1280 by 720 pixels. Its price, 219 dollars, about 160 euros at the current exchange rate. Of course, its design is more typical of the economic range.
