Well, now the phone has received its first supports for different third-party software such as TWRP, LineageOS 16, Pixel Experience or crDroid. And although none of them is official, we can already install it on the device and we will tell you about it in detail.
TWRP
TWRP (which stands for Team Win Recovery Project) is an open source software that serves to root any mobile easily and without complications, and although it has not been officially released for the Redmi Note 7, some users of the well-known XDA Developers software page They have already put their versions to be able to use it on the phone.
LineageOS 16
Who does not know LineageOS? Well, just in case you don't know it, LineageOS is an open source fork, it got its popularity with CyanogenMod, its predecessor, since it is very similar to pure Android but with more customization options, both aesthetics and system customization, in addition allows quite old phones to have the new operating system updates, and it is that phones like the Samsung Galaxy S5 can upgrade to LineageOS 16, based on Android Pie.
Again it is the XDA Developers community who have worked to bring this software to the popular Xiaomi model. To install any of these versions you have to follow the developer's instructions and be very careful when installing it, don't do it if you don't have a certain domain.

Pixel Experience is gaining more and more popularity among users, due to its number of supported phones and because it provides an experience very similar to the Google Pixel experience, as its name suggests.

A not so well known ROM: crDroid. crDroid is similar to LineageOS, it is mainly focused on improving performance and system customization, so some users are choosing it for low-resource phones.
