A “Siri” for Facebook that allows to suggest content and help users of the Facebook chat application. Now, Facebook has announced that M, the Messenger assistant, arrives in Spain.
Facebook has just announced the launch of its artificial intelligence assistant in Spain. M will serve Messenger users to offer suggestions within an open conversation in the app or add relevant content that will enrich and improve the way users communicate on this platform.
The virtual assistant relies on AI techniques to suggest actions to different users They can make a conversation or different suggestions easier. The more you use it, the more it will learn, as is often the case in these cases, and the more useful it will be as it will have adapted more to your uses and to you.
To see it in operation, it will be enough to start a chat conversation in Messenger as it has been done so far. In case you have a relevant suggestion, you will see that the M logo appears on the screen with some option that you find useful like submitting the location or creating a plan, for example.
If you don't like it and want to ignore it, you can. You can ignore or reject a suggestiona in particular but you can also silence it completely from the assistant's settings, if you prefer to continue as usual with your Messenger conversations.
Some of the options and suggestions that will appear with M in the conversation will be the possibility of sending stickers such as "thank you" or "see you later", share location during a conversation (in case, for example, you are talking to meet or someone ask where you are) or create plans, which will allow you to meet your friends easily and quickly.
"Starting with M is really easy, all you have to do is chat with a friend or a group as you normally would and when M recognizes something in a conversation, a small blue M will appear and make a suggestion", explained the M product manager, Kemal El Moujahid. “We are very excited to bring M's suggestions to Spain now that M is bilingual in English and Spanish ", added the assistant manager.
From now on, the assistant for the Android application is available (and on iOS) and will gradually reach all users.
