The Meizu PRO 6 will have an exclusive processor, the MediaTek Helio X25 with ten cores

Meizu PRO 5 Home

It will be one of the mobiles of the year. Meizu has not yet presented any smartphone this 2016, but when it launches the new Meizu PRO 6, we may be talking about one of the best of this season, and that is that it will have an exclusive processor, the MediaTek Helio X25, a ten-core processor, in which Meizu and MediaTek have worked together.

Ten-core processor

It will be one of the first smartphones to feature MediaTek's ten-core processor, since even though the Helio X20 was released months ago, there are still hardly any smartphones on the market with this processor. However, it will not be with this one, but with an improved version of it, which will feature the new Meizu PRO 6. A processor that will also be exclusive to this smartphone for a few months. That is, MediaTek will not be able to sell this processor to any other manufacturer. The key to the ten-core processor is that the main quad-core group takes care of all possible tasks, being the one that consumes the least energy. Then there is another group of quad cores with more power capable of executing processes of a higher level, and finally a group of two very high performance cores. In this case, the MediaTek Helio X25 will have some more improvements, such as a faster GPU, and a "Turbo Cluster", whereby the group of two cores with the highest performance will be able to reach a clock frequency of 2,5 GHz.

Meizu Pro 5

We recently said that the Meizu PRO 6 could have the new Exynos 8870, a Samsung processor similar to the Exynos 8890 that the Galaxy S7 has, but something worse. However, one of Meizu's spokespersons claimed that this would not be the case. In fact, not only is the new Meizu mobile not going to stay with a second-tier processor from Samsung, but they will have an exclusive processor from MediaTek.

It could be the smartphone of the year, although there is talk of a launch in the second half of the year. Before the Meizu MX6 would arrive, we suppose, with somewhat more basic technical characteristics, and a cheaper price.
