Phones priced at 1.000 euros? Blame it on the users

iPhone X

There are users who claim that paying the price of a iPhone X it's too much. More of 1.100 euros for a smartphone. However, the truth is that it is the users who are to blame for the fact that mobile phones have a price of more than 1.000 euros.

Manufacturers just want to make money

Smartphone makers are not non-profit organizations. Your goal is not to make a mobile phone and sell it without losing money. Its objective is to manufacture a mobile and sell it earning as much money as possible. That is why there is a big difference between the manufacturing price of a smartphone and the selling price. And this is how mobile like The iPhone X have come to have a price that in Spain will be more than 1.100 euros. But in reality, it is the users who are to blame that smartphones have that price.

Users pay very expensive mobiles

I know iPhone users who had previously stated that the price of the new iPhone (and we are not talking about 1.000 euros mobile phones) was very expensive. However, shortly after they had acquired the smartphone. In general, they buy it through financing, or signing a contract of permanence with an operator to be able to pay it in installments. Buying it seems cheap, because they don't charge us more than about 50 euros a month. However, in the end we have paid the price that we claimed was very expensive. Outcome? That the next smartphone will be more expensive.

Some claim that in reality, the reason the iPhone X is more expensive is because fewer smartphones will be sold, and then the price must be higher to compensate for the expenses. But in reality it is the opposite. The reason why the iPhone X has a price of 1.100 euros has to do with supply and demand. It is basic marketing. If something sells a lot, you can sell it more expensively. Companies do not spend much more money than before in designing and manufacturing a new smartphone, the manufacturing costs of a smartphone are not much more expensive. However, the sale price of mobile phones is much more expensive.

But it is the users who are to blame that mobiles are so expensive. They bought the iPhone when they had a price of 600 euros because they claimed that it was much better than the others. Now they will have to pay 1.100 euros for the new smartphone.

However, the irony is that users will still buy the new iPhone 8 and iPhone X, and the iPhone 11 will probably be more expensive. Perhaps one day users will see that there are much cheaper mobiles that are very similar to the 1.100 euro mobiles.
