El Moto G4 Plus It has a great camera. However, it has an important lack to be able to be a real photographic mobile, and that is the ability to capture photos in RAW, a feature that should come with some kind of update.

The sensor that the Moto G4 Plus has is of high quality, and in fact, it is compared to that of mobiles like the iPhone 6s. However, it must be taken into account that since Android 5.0 Lollipop it is already possible to capture photographs in RAW. Phones like the Samsung Galaxy S7 already give that possibility, and amateur and professional photographers are struck by this possibility. When they consider whether or not to buy a mobile of this type as a mobile to capture photographs when they do not carry their camera, one of the things that they consider is whether they can capture photos in RAW. And it is that in the post-processing, the management of these images is key. The RAW file saves information on the brightness and color captured by each pixel, being able to carry out much more advanced modifications thanks to this file than we could simply achieve with a JPEG.
That is why the Moto G4 Plus, which has one of the best mobile cameras on the market for its quality / price ratio, should already include the possibility of capturing the photo in RAW. It will take up more space, yes, but for that it has the possibility of expanding the memory by means of a microSD card. Lenovo did not activate this option on the smartphone, despite being completely updated, but hopefully it is something that is in their plans, and that we will soon see it as an option of the Moto G4 Plus.
