In an order issued yesterday, March 25, 2024, Pedraz recognizes that, although Telegram can be used for criminal activities, there are "more than multiple" users who have opted for this application due to the benefits it provides in terms of privacy.

This rectification comes after various groups, such as the Council of Computer Engineers of Spain and the consumer organization FACUA, They will harshly criticize the initial measure for being "unfair, censorious and disproportionate", by prioritizing the interests of three large companies over millions of users with legitimate use of Telegram.
