As many of you know, it is possible to return an application or a game that we have purchased in Google Play within 15 minutes of purchase. This is done so that if we buy an application that is ultimately not useful for us, we can get our money back. However, Google could have extended the return period up to two hours.

So far, if you wanted to return an application for which you had paid money, you only had 15 minutes in case you wanted to get your money back unconditionally. In other cases, you had up to 48 hours to recover the money from an application that you had purchased and that did not work, or that did not work as stated in the description of the application, although the process of returning the application and recovering the money it was much more complex.

However, it seems that Google could change the return period of an application to two hours, instead of 15 minutes. This means that we may return an application without justifying the reason for up to two hours after purchasing the application. At least, it is already possible to return some applications up to two hours later. This change has not been made official by Google, and the Google Play support section still indicates that the time they guarantee to return an application is 15 minutes. However, when asking Google, they have stated that in the case of some applications, this period is longer, because data must be downloaded to be able to use the application, and the download of this data could take more than 15 minutes - the application cannot be tested in less than 15 minutes. However, there are applications of only 1 MB that do not require data download that can be returned within two hours, which leads us to think that it could be a change in the return policy of Google applications that is could apply in no time.

It is also possible that they are actually just testing. However, it would not be uncommon for them to extend the deadline to two hours. We can hardly return a game in less than two hours, unless we really don't like it. However, this would allow people to buy games, play them, and return them when they left. In any case, time will tell if Google is going to change its application return policy, or if it will continue as before.
