Only two months away from the second anniversary of the OnePlus 2 we now know that it will no longer receive any more software updates nor will it have Android Nougat. The phone will not receive the update that many of the users expected. According to an email from the company, “outdated” devices will stop receiving updates.
OnePlus had previously explained that mobiles would update to Android Nougat peror it seems like your plans have changed, to the discontent of users. A risky decision and without much sense since the mobile is not even two years old.
The brand seems to be focused on its new models and not being able to keep everything in optimal shape. OnePlus prepares for the launch of its new flagship, the OnePlus 5, which is expected to be unveiled in just fifteen days.
The latest rumors claim that the OnePlus 5 would arrive next June 20, as seen today in a leak in Slashleaks. We will have to wait even a little longer to find out what the brand has prepared and what they are so busy with to forget about models from just a couple of years ago.
