Samsung could launch a new smartwatch in 2017. So far it has already released the Samsung Gear S, Gear S2, and Gear S3, and it must be said that they are some of the best smartwatches available. However, it could present in 2017 the new Samsung Gear Sport, a new sports smartwatch.
Smart watches are not very successful
It has taken a few years to confirm that smart watches are not achieving the success that we thought they could. They have not just been true relays of smartphones, and therefore it seems complex that many users can really buy smart watches as if they were really useful.
However, sports watches have been more successful than smart watches from Motorola, LG, Sony and company. Why? Well, because they are really useful. In general, sports watches have GPS, and are useful for athletes. They are also more resistant, so they are a better buy for athletes than smart watches.
And perhaps that is why Samsung would not only launch a smartwatch this 2017, but that this watch would also be sports.
