Android Week

El Google I/O 2014 will start on Wednesday. Obviously, the Google event has been the protagonist of this Android Week. We talk about the news of the possible new version of the operating system, Android 4.5, and the three new smart watches.

And we are talking about three smart watches, because at the last minute Samsung has jumped on the train. The company recently launched the new Samsung Gear 2, and will launch the Samsung Gear 3 at the same event that they launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. However, it appears that to present the new Samsung Galaxy Wear at Google I / O 2014, and it could even be the gift for those attending the event.

The other two smartwatches to be launched at Google I / O 2014 will be the LG G Watch and the Motorola Moto 360. The latter of these would hit the market in September, as the Motorola Moto X + 1, while the LG G Watch would hit the market in July.

Android Week

The new version of the operating system, Android 4.5, could be presented at Google I / O 2014. Much information about this version has been published recently, and that is why it seems likely that this version will be presented at the Google event. For example, we know that there will be a new design for the icons. In addition, Dalvik would cease to be the Android virtual machine that is responsible for executing the applications. In fact, in Android 4.5 ART would be the only virtual machine installed, which contrasts with Android 4.4 KitKat, a version in which ART was only a virtual machine in the testing phase.

In addition, AutoLink would also be presented at Google I / O 2014, the new version of the operating system optimized for cars. Car manufacturers such as Audi, Honda, Toyota or General Motors, would include AutoLink in their cars. Nvidia would handle the manufacturing of the components. Google, of course, would be in charge of the development of AutoLink, the operating system that will be installed in cars.
