Some users can already unlock their Android with voice recognition

They call it "Trusted Voice," or "Voice of Confidence," in Spanish, and We already talked about this feature when they found a large amount of code associated with this new function in the Google App. Now, some users already have this function active, and can unlock their Android smartphone through voice recognition.

A new unlocking

Fingerprint, pattern, PIN, eye recognition, face recognition, or just swipe, these were almost all the possible ways to unlock your Android screen. Some more complex, and others faster, but in the end they are different options that different users choose. Well, now comes a new one. And although we expected it to take longer, in the end it has not. We are talking about voice recognition. Users of the Google App already have this function active, which is called "Trusted Voice" and is part of Android Smart Lock, so that it is integrated into the native Android screen unlock window.

"Ok Google"

Until now, the "Ok, Google" was used to activate Google Now and Google Search, and to be able to tell them that we wanted to perform a certain action or perform a search, so that they were able to interpret our words and obey us. However, now they will not only serve for that, but they will be useful so that we can unlock the smartphone. "Ok, Google" is what we will have to say to our Android to unlock the screen. As nowadays applications such as Shazam or SoundHound are capable of recognizing a song, now our smartphone will also be able to recognize if the voice that has pronounced "Ok, Google" is ours or is that of another person, allowing, or preventing the unlocking of the smartphone screen. The problem is that it may be somewhat slower than fingerprint reading, or it may be difficult to unlock the screen if there is a lot of noise.

In any case, we will wait to test it before making an assessment of it.
