2015 has been a pretty good year for ASUS, since this manufacturer has been one of those that has managed to grow in the mobility market (always talking about devices such as tablets and phones). The fact is that it is desired that this continue to be the case and, therefore, the company is already working on new devices, such as a mid-range phablet, called asus pegasus, of which we already have quite reliable news.

The information that has been known comes from the TENAA certification entity in China, so we are talking about official data and that, unless something very serious happens, it will be those offered by ASUS Pegasus (X005). One of the details that attract the attention of this model, which is designed to be part of the mid-range of the product, is that its screen is of 5,5 inches. That is, a phablet.

But the truth is that the device comes with aspirations, as it shows that the resolution of the panel is 1080p (Full HD), so the terminal will not place in the most advanced part of the segment that we have indicated to which it will belong. In this way, surely more than one is interested in the ASUS Pegasus. By the way, the phablet will not lack compatibility with networks 4G (nor with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity).

Other features of the ASUS Pegasus

Due to its passage through the Chinese certification body TENAA, some additional details of this new terminal, which is to be expected do not have a very high price in order to make it a suitable rival against models such as the Motorola Moto X Play. They are as follows:

  • Eight-core processor clocked at 1,3 GHz

  • 2 GB of RAM

  • 13 megapixel main camera and 5 megapixel front camera

  • 32GB storage expandable using microSD cards

  • 9 millimeters thick

  • Weight 176,6 grams

Obviously some important details are missing to place this model in a much more specific way in the market, such as the exact SoC that it will integrate, but the truth is that the ASUS Pegasus does not point badly if, as we have said, its price is not high. . A detail for improvement is that everything suggests that at first this model will arrive with Android Lollipop (it would have been better if it were marshmallow, evidently). What do you think of this device that will arrive at the beginning of this year 2016?
