El HTC Desire 500 It is not the most powerful phone on the market, but it is true that it is an adequate solution to carry out the most common tasks with a mobile terminal, such as managing mail and browsing the Internet. Well, its autonomy has undergone a performance test.
Before starting to indicate the data that have been obtained in the tests, it is important to locate the components offered by this model that are involved in its autonomy. For example, the screen on the HTC Desire 500 is 4,3 inches with a resolution of 800 x 480, so it shouldn't consume a lot of power.
The same happens with the processor, which is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 that has two cores that work at 1,2 GHz. Regarding its battery, and due to its dimensions, the one included in the terminal has a charge of 1.800 mAh, and it is the one that "supports" the demands of all components, including 3G and WiFi antennas.
The results of the tests carried out
There are three tests you have undergone and they measure how much you can work without recharging the HTC Desire 500: the time you can talk on the phone, the period you can surf the Internet and finally playing a video.
In the first two tests it is clear that the terminal is in the middle of the tests, with times of 11 hours and 31 minutes when speaking and when using the browser, it reaches a mark of 6:31. Therefore, the component combination makes do not stand out excessively in any of these sections, especially when compared to mid-range models.
When it comes to viewing a video, the result is somewhat lower, with a time close to eight hours. Okay, but due to the size and resolution of your screen something more could be expected. Anyway, as you can see in the graph below, it looks a little better than the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini.
In short, the results in these autonomy tests show that the HTC Desire 500 is not the right model for intensive users, but that it is an adequate and economical answer for those looking for an answering phone for basic tasks.
