Many are the leaks that occur every day regarding the Samsung Galaxy S5, a model that is destined to be totally differential - something that all companies are certainly looking for with its launch. The fact is that this device in the design of its screen may have a totally key element.

As leaked from the Korean media The Korea Herald (which cites people close to the industry and manufacturing lines as its sources), the Galaxy S5 would be the first model to be put on the market without your panel having any frame on its front. In this way, it would achieve an appearance that, apart from being attractive, would be totally differential. By the way, this option that Samsung would integrate has not been achieved overnight, since the same media indicates that the Korean company has been working on this since 2012.

If the information is confirmed, including the development time, we are talking about an integration technology that must be quite mature, so that some doubts about the integration of screen without frames should not arise. For example, it has always been said that resistance of this component without the support of a framework is, to say the least, questionable. We will see if a challenge like this is solved by Samsung if this type of panel is confirmed in the Galaxy S5.

More details regarding the screen of this model

But here the news regarding the Samsung Galaxy S5 does not end in which the panel that it integrates has to do. For example, this new model is expected to be thinner than its predecessor (something that is normal in evolutions), but what is not usual is that the screen has something to do with it. Specifically, this would be due to a new development that allows replace all four layers with rust by a new technology.

Also, it seems that the fingerprint reader is confirmed, but it would not have a specific sensor somewhere in the terminal housing. According to The Korea Herald, the place chosen to integrate this is the screen, specifically the lower parts (left and right). If so, the use of the sensor would be significantly improved.

All this will be resolved, if nothing changes, on the 24th of this month in Barcelona, since during the Mobile World Congress fair the Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to be presented at an event called Unpacked 5. We will then see if the panel has no frame and if the two versions of the terminal are confirmed: a Premium, with a 2.560 x 1.600 panel, and a cheaper one (Value), with a Full HD screen.
