The LG-F490L will be the first terminal with its own designed Odin processor

It seems that you already know what will be the model that will integrate the Odin processor: the LG-F490L. This SoC is a component that the Asian company itself designs and everything indicates that it will have eight cores inside and, for its manufacture that would have already begun, they have resorted to the TSMC company.

The code name of the LG-F490L terminal is Liger and it is not known for sure what type of device it would be, as far as the range in which it would fit. But everything indicates that the choice by the manufacturer is that it be a model with good performance and that it stands out so that, in this way, the impact of its own processor is the maximum possible. Some sources even indicate that it could well be the replacement for the LG G Flex.

As we have indicated before, the Odin SoC It is a component that would arrive with eight cores inside in two different versions. In both cases the big difference would be the GPU, since in the less powerful model the choice would be a Mali-T604 and, in the case of "top of the range", a Mali-T760 would be integrated. Of course, in the two models the "cores" would be the following: four Cortex-A7 and four other Cortex-A15.

Then we leave the twitter message in which the arrival of the LG-F490L with its Odin processor has been announced:

The reasons to think that it will be in the LG G Flex 2

The truth is that everything indicates that the LG-F490L could be the evolution of the terminal with a curved screen of the Asian company (although the possibility that it is present in the new Vu should not be ruled out either). Taking into account that everything indicates that the new LG G3 expected after summer, everything indicates that it will include a SoC Snapdragon 805, in line with other high-end terminals, the normal thing is that for the Odin processor to have an impact, it arrives in a striking device, which would fit with the LG G Flex 2.

Be that as it may, what seems quite certain is that the first model to hit the market with the processor manufactured by LG has already been decided, and it will be the LG-F490L. Now, all that remains to be done is to specify exactly what kind of terminal is it and the specifications with which it reaches the market. More competition for Qualcomm, no doubt.
