The Motorola Moto X 2015 appears again, and stands out in the world of virtual reality

The Motorola Moto X 2015 is already one of the few big launches that we still have ahead of us in the coming months, in addition to what may come from Samsung and Apple. Now the flagship confirmed its appearance in a new photograph. In addition, we know new data, such as the importance that virtual reality could have in the new device.

Modified design

The photograph that you can see under this paragraph shows us what the new Motorola smartphone will be like, at least for its external appearance. Although in other photographs we had seen a similar design, the truth is that we had seen it mainly in wood. We also saw it in black, but in a very poor resolution photo that did not allow us to see precisely what the new device would look like. Now we can see it clearly. We find a black back cover, which appears to be plastic. However, it is textured with diagonal lines, which will give the mobile a somewhat special look, and will also make it more difficult for it to fall out of our hands.

Another of the main elements is the metal bar that it seems to have in the center, in which the camera is included at the upper end, and the Motorola logo at the lower end. It's a thin bar though, which is in stark contrast to the latest Moto X, which featured a larger camera, a larger logo, and the LED Flash around the camera, rather than underneath it. This bar gives it an aspect more similar to the first Motorola Moto X 2013. Although we must not be mistaken, since it will continue to be a large mobile.

Virtual reality

Some time ago we saw that the space for the fingerprint reader was visible on the mobile chassis. In later photos we saw that instead of that reader, what was there was the metal bar that had no apparent function, except to act as a trim on which to place the camera and the logo. However, new information tells us that such a metal bar could add functionality related to virtual reality. It would connect to some external device. Will it be launched with the mobile, so that the Moto X 2015 serves to introduce us to the world of virtual reality? That may be the key to the new mobile, and the differentiating element. We will see.
