The Nexus 4 has already received Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean

Although curiously it was the first device that appeared on the network with the latest version of Google's operating system installed, 4.2.2 Android Jelly Bean, has been the last of the recent Nexus family to update to it. We are talking, of course, about Google's first smartphone, the Nexus 4, which can finally update to the latest version of the operating system, with the newest features.

It was in Brazil where we first saw a Nexus 4 with 4.2.2 Android Jelly Bean. As indicated, runs of the device were already being manufactured with the latest version pre-installed, so when they reached users, they would be fully updated. However, everything remained in a simple photo and a leak. Later it was reinforced with another device that appeared in Eastern Europe that also had this version as an operating system. However, it was not until today that ordinary users with a Nexus 4 can update their device to 4.2.2 Android Jelly Bean.

Nexus 4

There is some controversy regarding this latest update. As you know, the Nexus 4 was a device that was not launched with 4G LTE, although users discovered that the device had the necessary components to work on those networks. With some mods they managed to activate these components and make the Nexus 4 compatible with LTE networks. However, Google has blocked this possibility with the latest update. Most likely, as residents in Spain, where we do not have this type of coverage, you have not tried to activate this feature. But if you are outside of Spain and have done so, and you use it regularly, we recommend not updating, at least if you want to continue connecting to LTE networks.

If you want, download the OTA update to 4.2.2 Android Jelly BeanIn addition to checking if it has automatically reached your smartphones, you can also do it from Google servers.
