This year Google has launched two new smartphones, the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P, and also a tablet, the Google Pixel C. However, next year it could launch a new tablet. The difference is that it will not be manufactured by Google, but would be manufactured by Huawei, and it would be the new Nexus 7 2016.
Huawei's Nexus 7
It would already be the third Nexus 7 that Google will have launched, after the previous two, manufactured by Asus. The novelty in this case is that it would be manufactured by Huawei, who have also manufactured the Nexus 6P, the high-end smartphone launched by Google this year. The new Nexus 7 would arrive a few months after the presentation of the Google Pixel C. This last tablet was characterized by being a tablet designed and manufactured by Google. This would not be the case with the Nexus 7, which could confirm that Google would continue to launch Nexus from other manufacturers, along with its own smartphones and tablets.
Launch at Google I / O 2016
At the moment many technical characteristics of the new Nexus 7 2016 cannot be confirmed. It is stated that the tablet would arrive at Google I / O 2016, in the middle of the year, around the month of June, and that it will have Android N, or Android 7.0. In reality, this does not seem likely, as Google will announce the new version at that event, but it would not be officially launched until September or October. What is likely is that the Google I / O will announce both the new version of the operating system, as well as the new tablet, although it arrives with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Although we do not know what technical characteristics it will have, it can be confirmed that the Nexus 7 screen will be seven inches, logically. Being a tablet manufactured by Huawei, it is possible that it also has a metallic design like that of the company's flagships, the Huawei P8, the Huawei Mate 8 and the current Nexus 6P.
