The Samsung Galaxy S5 could cost 650 euros without permanence

Samsung Galaxy S5

The price of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is still up in the air. Much has been said about it, but the official figure to which it will be sold by stores, operators, or the recommended price that Samsung will give has not appeared. However, the American operator AT&T has confirmed the price at which it will sell it, and thanks to this we can know that its final price would be 650 euros without permanence.

Of course, there is no way to confirm it completely until Samsung, or one of the operators in our country, gives a final price for the terminal. Vodafone is likely to be one of the first operators to say how much the terminal will cost without permanence, and how much it will cost to achieve it by signing one of the permanence contracts that they are going to offer. Without that data, all we had was what had been rumored. Some spoke of 670 euros, others 730 euros, and finally it seemed clear that the Samsung Galaxy S5 would have a price of 700 euros. However, the price that AT&T has set for the terminal is very different.

And it is that, a difference of 50 euros in a smartphone of this type is very remarkable. AT&T has confirmed that buying the smartphone in the United States from the operator, without signing any contract of permanence, will cost 650 dollars. In Spain, we would be talking about the same figure, although in the local currency, 650 euros.

That would imply that the Samsung Galaxy S5 would be cheaper than other smartphones that are about to reach the market with which it will compete, such as the Sony Xperia Z2, which would cost about 700 euros. In addition, the fact that it is cheaper also interests those who are going to wait a few months to acquire the terminal, since they will also get a cheaper smartphone than it would cost if its initial price were 700 euros. In any case, it is good news for all those who want to buy the smartphone. Of course, it must be borne in mind that this is the price of an American operator, so the price of Spanish operators, and even the one set by Samsung for third-party sellers, could be different in Spain. Although it is unlikely that this is the case.
