Smartwatches-Gear-Live

After a long time waiting for news of the long-awaited smartwatches with A, we finally have the possibility to reserve some of the models that we saw during the Google presentation: Samsung Gear Live or LG G Watch. In addition, we were also able to observe some details of the Motorola Moto 360 and today we have known the first 6 applications of the operating system.

Yesterday we offered you the first details about Android Wear and the first smartwatches that will arrive with it, but this time we are going to give you all the details of these devices, as well as the new Google software.

Let's start with the first watch to hit the market with the Android Wear operating system. It has a 1,65-inch 280 x 280 pixel resolution IPS screenon, which will ensure good operation both indoors and outdoors. Its dimensions are not excessively large, just 37,9 x 46,5 x 9,95 mm, And its 63 grams weight are also appreciated on the wrist as we can see in the different hands on of the lucky ones who were present at the Google I / O.

The LG G Watch is available in two colors, titanium black or white and gold, and his strap can be interchanged with any other 22 millimeter, so the customization is really interesting. Among its most interesting features is the resistance to dust and water certified IP67 and inside we will find a 1,2 GHz processor, 4 GB of internal storage, 512 MB of RAM and up to 9 sensors (accelerometer / compass / gyroscope). It is charged through a series of pins on the non-visible part of the device and will be compatible with Android 4.3 henceforth through connectivity Bluetooth 4.0. Its price, as we have said, is $199 –If we buy it in Google Play Store, will leave the warehouse on July 3 - and his 400 mAh battery It will allow us to use it throughout the day.

Samsung Gear Live

Regarding design, the Samsung Gear Live is slightly larger than the LG G Watch, although yes, something thinner (37,9 x 56,4 x 8,9 mm) and light (59 grams). It also has a higher quality square screen, 1,63-inch 320 x 320 pixel resolution SuperAMOLED (It reaches a figure of 278 ppi), although the design seems to be somewhat more careful, with more modern lines. Regarding the characteristics neighborhoods, are the practically traced to the previous clock, although in this case we find a 300 mAh battery –Which also offers a day of autonomy) and some cool sensors like heart rate monitor. You can also book it on Google Play at a price of $199.

Motorola Moto 360

Unfortunately, although we also got to see it for the first time yesterday, not available for several weeks. Unfortunately, details of this watch are not yet known, price - it is expected to be somewhat higher than the previous ones - or characteristics, but it is the one that has raised the most passions thanks to its round dial. Of course, those attending the Google I / O booed the speaker when he indicated that the watch will be available in a while and not immediately like its analogues.

The first 6 Android Wear apps are also ready

With the SDK free for developers, Google expects Android Wear apps to start rolling out soon. For now, the available apps are Pinterest, to know everything our friends do and the places where we have been; Lyft, an application very similar to Uber to find drivers to take us to our destinations; sound link, to share music and follow other users; eat24, which will allow us to order food and pay for it in just 30 seconds; althecooks, a kind of recipe book for the smartwatch; and Paypal, the well-known secure payment app that we can use with our voice.

As you can see, smart watches have begun to take shape, although from my point of view there are still several aspects to polish such as the battery problem. For my taste, it is enough to charge our phone practically every day to also do it with our watch, although both the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live are really interesting (well, and the Moto 360 even more).
